Second Sunday after Pentecost, from Bishopscourt Chapel, Sale
June 5th, 2021
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Many of us in Regional Victoria are pleased to be able to gather again in our churches and ministry centres for worship, within the parameters of ongoing restrictions.
Not everyone in the Diocese, however, will be able to attend a service this weekend, and so we hope that this pre-recorded Eucharist from the Chapel of Bishopscourt in Sale may be a useful resource, alongside other offerings.
We are grateful to the Dean, The Very Revd Susanna Pain, for presiding; to The Revd Lyn Williams (Associate Priest at St Paul’s Cathedral) for preaching; to the Revd David Perryman for filming; and to the Registrar for editing the video file.
Those participating online may find the following prayer helpful, especially at the point of distribution of the Sacrament: O Lord Jesus Christ, through your tender mercy grant that as the hem of your garment, touched in faith, healed the woman who could not touch your body, so the soul of this your servant may be healed by like faith in you, whom I cannot now sacramentally receive. In union with the faithful at every altar-table in your Church I desire to be united with you, and pray that you will come spiritually into my heart. Let nothing ever separate me from your love, for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. Grace and peace, +Richard
