Premiere Concert - Saturday 1 August 7.30pm

The bushfire relief concert performed by Liminality Celtic Trio live at St Paul’s Cathedral, Sale screens this evening at 7.30pm.

This concert is a gift to all bushfire affected communities and features a superb, classically-styled repertoire of ancient Celtic tunes, songs and original compositions. Liminality is a Melbourne based trio comprised of renowned harpist, (Cath Connelly) violinist (Greg Hunt) and keyboard/vocalist (Jules Vines).

The concert includes an interview with bush fire survivors - Peter and Marg Down of Sarsfield and include the premiere launch of a new song by the Vokallista Choir. Liminality Celtic Trio will also debut their new song composed in response to the fires of the 2019/20 summer.

Registration to purchase or obtain tickets for the concert has now closed. However, a screening of the concert on our Youtube page will also occur this evening, premiering at 7.30 pm by using this link.

We are very grateful for all the work that has gone on behind the scenes in bringing you this concert. We would like to offer a very special thanks to Richard Connelly who arranged to have us come and play in the Sale Cathedral back in July and undertook the film editing of tonight’s performance.

Thanks also to Peter and Marg Down (special guests and survivors of the bushfires in January) who have agreed to share their story in tonight’s show. To Barb McFarlane and the members of Vokallista Community Choir who will premiere a new song, which we know you’ll be humming for days to come, Thankyou. It is so beautifully suited for these very difficult times and to Greg Hunt for his work on the sound recording and mixing, very grateful for your skills.. To Paul Bishop and Michael Thatcher technical wizards, who have been the brains behind getting this onto our webpage, we really do appreciate your generous time and assistance and patience with us not so ‘tech-savvy’ types.
